Shaurya saga during Operation Sindoor

Colonel Santosh Babu, who sacrificed for the country in the violence of the Galwan Valley, was posthumously awarded the Mahavir Chakra, which is the second largest valor award in the country.
The President has awarded the Air Force (Bravery) to 26 Air Officers of the Air Force for participating in Operation Sindoor. Two of them are the sons of two former Air Force Air Chief Marshall. The name of Group Captain Omar Brown, son of former Air Force Chief NAK Brown (2014-16) and Mihir Chaudhary, son of former Air Force chief VR Chaudhary (2021-24), is also one of the ones who got the bravery medal in Operation Sindoor.
07 Top Commanders Best War Service Medal
07 top commanders of Army, Air Force and Navy have been awarded the best war service medal. All of them have been honored for making important strategies during Operation Sindoor.

On the eve of the 79th Independence Day, the President has announced a total of 127 bravery medals. These include 15 Veera Chakra, apart from 04 Kirti Chakra (second largest valor award of peace), 16 Shaurya Chakra (third largest valor award of peace), two army medals (bar), 58 army medals, six (06) naval medals, 26 Air Force Medals.
The President has announced to give 09 Best War Services Medal and 24 War Services Medal besides seven (07) best war service medals. Along with this, 290 Mainson in dispatches have also been given to Army, Navy, Air Force and BRO personnel.
