Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leader K.K. T. Ramarao (KTR) has warned of protests like Nepal in India on Saturday (September 20, 2025). BRS leader KTR said that if governments fail to fulfill the wishes and aspirations of the people, then there may be a protest of Jane-G like Nepal in India.
Speaking on the Jane-G demonstration, BRS leader KTR said that the recent protests in Nepal were initially seen as a joke, but in this protest of the youth, the government eventually dropped the government there.
The performance of youth in Nepal was mocked- KTR
KTR told NDTV, ‘What happened recently in Nepal was just an attempt to suppress the voice of democracy and generation. Initially, the media also made fun of him, saying that they are performing when the internet is closed. But the truth was that they were performing for their future.
On the question asked about the protests in India, he said, ‘If the governments continued to fail them, if the governments failed to fulfill the aspirations of the people of India, then why not? Yes.’
Former minister mentioned the role in Telangana’s state movement
Former Telangana minister KTR shared the role of himself and his party in the Telangana state movement and also mentioned what Jane-G represents. He said, ‘Restless, young, ambitious and full of courage- the youth of Generation ji. You are completely DIY generations- disorder, immigrant and fully youthful. I think my kingdom Telangana is also a Jane-G kingdom.
Ktr Example of Hyderabad Central University
During this, KTR also gave an example of the performance of the youth of Telangana. He said, ‘Gen Z really led to digital mediums. When the Telangana government planned to sell about 400 acres of forest land in Hyderabad, students of Hyderabad Central University started protesting as Gen Z and sought answers from the government. Finally, the Supreme Court intervened in the case and the activism of Gen Z saved 400 acres in Hyderabad.
However, KTR also stressed that only activism on social media is not sufficient. Gen Z should take full advantage of this opportunity because the world is getting old, but India is getting young.
