Proudly, I buy indigenous … In a address to the nation, PM Modi said- ‘Every house is to be made a symbol of Swadeshi’

A day before the implementation of GST rate cuts, Prime Minister Narendra Modi strongly advocated promoting indigenous goods on Sunday (September 21, 2025). He said that the next generation GST reforms will speed up India’s growth saga, businessmen will increase ease and attract more investors. He said that we have to make every house a symbol of Swadeshi… Every shop has to be decorated with indigenous.

In his address to the nation, Modi said that the ‘GST Savings Festival’ will start from the first day of Navratri and it will be ‘double profit’ for most people with income tax exemption. Prime Minister Modi emphasized that all states will be equal stakeholders in the race for development. He urged the states to speed up manufacturing keeping in mind the ‘self -reliant India’ and indigenous campaigns.

A big step towards self -reliant India

Modi said, ‘On the first day of Navratri, the country is going to take an important and big step in the direction of self -sufficient India. Tomorrow, with sunrise, the next generation GST reforms will come into force. The ‘GST Savings Utsav’ will start from tomorrow. You will be able to buy items of your choice more easily. This will benefit poor, middle class, new class, youth, farmers, women, traders and shopkeepers.

Modi said that everyone’s happiness will increase in this season of festivals. He congratulated everyone for the next generation of Goods and Services Tax (GST) reforms. Modi said, “These reforms will accelerate India’s growth saga, businessmen will increase ease and attract more investors.”

Emphasis on purchasing ‘Made in India’ goods

PM Modi said, ‘We should buy the goods that are’ Made in India ‘, which has the hard work of the youth of our country and the sons and daughters of our country are sweated. To reach the goal of developed India, we have to follow the path of self -sufficiency and there is a huge responsibility to make India self -sufficient. We have to make every house a symbol of indigenous, every shop has to be decorated with indigenous.

He further said, ‘The (goods) which are the need of the people of the country, which we can make in the country, we should make it in the country itself. By lowering the rates of GST, rules and procedures and easier our msmes, our small scale industries and cottage industries will greatly benefit greatly. Their sales will increase and tax will also have to be paid, that is, they will also have ‘double benefit’.

GST reforms benefits small and medium enterprises

The Prime Minister said that when India stepped towards GST reforms in 2017, a new beginning to create history. He said that GST realized the dream of ‘one nation-one tax’. Modi also mentioned how the taxes and toll trap has created difficulties for businesses and consumers.

Citing income tax exemption on income up to Rs 12 lakh and GST reforms, he said that it is a double benefit for the poor, new-middle class and middle class. He also said that small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) will benefit from GST reforms.

Prime Minister Modi urged the people of the country to feel proud to sell and buy indigenous goods. He said that like the indigenous movement, the prosperity of India will also be strong with the mantra of Swadeshi. With the implementation of GST reforms, the rates on about 375 items will decrease from Monday, from drugs and equipment to automobiles, from drugs and equipment to automobiles.
