Do not forget these mistakes while driving a car in the rain

The monsoon season brings with it relaxation as well as many challenges, especially for driving. Road conditions, visibility and traffic conditions change during the rains. In such a situation, it becomes very important to take special care, especially for those drivers who have recently learned to drive. Let us know what is important for safe driving in the rain.

1. Do not use hedgard lights while driving

Many drivers immediately turn on the hezard light as soon as the rains begin, this is a common but dangerous mistake. Hazard lights should only be used in emergency, such as car malfunction or accident. If you place hezard light on in a moving car during the rain, it can confuse the driver coming behind. In such a situation, it would be better that you use headlights and fog lamps in the event of low visibility, so that the clarity of your car will be maintained in both front and back direction.

2. Make distance from waterlogging roads

Waterlogging is a common problem during the rains and avoiding it can be a sensible decision. Many times it seems that other vehicles are coming out of that water -filled road, then we will also leave. But the ground clearance of each car and the position of the engine are different. If the water reaches the engine, exhaust or electrical system, your car may be locked in the middle road. This can cause heavy losses and troubles. In such a situation, it would be better to choose an alternative safe passage with the help of Google Maps or Local Traffic Update.

3. Forget to start the engine of the submerged car

If your car is stuck somewhere in the rain or drowned in water, the first mistake you can make is to start the engine. The condition of water penetrating into the engine is called hydrolrock, in which the water inside the engine goes into the combustion chamber. This can make the engine completely deteriorate and can cost huge costs in its repair. In such a situation, it is the safest option to take the vehicle to Tow (pulling) service center.

4. Parking a car under the tree can be dangerous

There is also a need to take special vigilance regarding car parking in the rain. People usually make the car under the tree to get shade or protect them from water. But due to strong winds in the rain, the branches of trees or the entire tree can fall. This can cause serious damage to your car. So always park your car in an open and safe place, where there are no large trees or hanging branches nearby.
Driving during the rainy season seems as exciting, the more risky it can be. Especially for new drivers, this time demands more vigilance. If you take care of the above mentioned things, you can ensure the safety of not only yourself but also others. Remember, it is prudent in caution.
