‘Bengal government stopped the treatment of wife by putting pressure on the victim’s father’s father by doing RG
The father of the victim of RG Kar Medical College and Hospital alleged on Sunday that his wife, who was injured in police lathicharge, was refused to admitted to a private hospital. He says that the state government put pressure on the hospital, due to which his wife was not admitted for treatment.
Not admitted even after doctor’s advice
According to the victim’s father, on Saturday evening, the doctor advised his wife to be admitted and said that it is necessary to stay in the hospital at least two days. But after the doctor left, the hospital’s attitude suddenly changed. The staff started making excuses and said that it cannot be recruited due to government pressure.
When the father approached the doctor, the doctor refused to talk in detail, but assured that the medicines given would be enough for treatment.
Lathicharge injuries
The victim’s mother suffered injuries in the forehead, hand and back on Saturday. They were conducted CT scans and other tests. He alleged that during the Nabanna March, which was held on the first anniversary of his daughter’s rape-murder, the woman police beaten him. The incident took place at the Park Street Crossing, where the protesters were trying to go to Nabanna via Vidyasagar Setu. The mother alleges that the police dropped her on the ground, broke her Shankha (traditional bangle) and hurt her forehead. He says that 4-5 policemen killed him.
Police denied, father’s allegations
The police denied these allegations and said that no force was used on the victim’s parents. At the same time, the victim’s father alleges that the police tried to stop him and his family from joining the march, while the court allowed a peaceful rally.
