President Draupadi Murmu appreciated the steel resolution of the country and the armed forces on Thursday (August 14, 2025) for Operation Sindoor and said that this campaign would be recorded in history as an example in humanity fight against terrorism.

In his address to the nation on the eve of Independence Day, the President mentioned this strategic success of India as well as economic development, national education policy, benefits of welfare schemes, success of digital payments and efforts being made by the government in the field of artificial intelligence (AI).

What did the President say in his address,

The President condemned the Pahalgam attack and said that it was a cowardly and extremely unique act. He said, “This year, we had to bear the brunt of terrorism. The murder of innocent citizens who went to Kashmir were cowardly and absolutely inhuman. India gave the answer in a decisive manner with a steely resolution. Operation Sindoor showed that when the question of safety of the nation comes up, our armed forces are fully able to face any situation. Terrorist bases have been destroyed. I believe that Operation will be recorded in history in the fight for humanity against terrorism. ”

The President underlined this, “Our unity was the biggest feature of our retaliation. This unity is also the most furious reply to all the elements that want to see us divided. ”According to him, to clarify the attitude of India, our unity was seen in the multi-party delegations of Parliament-members who went to various countries.

Operation Sindoor Self-reliant India Mission Examination was the opportunity- President

Murmu said, “The world community has taken cognizance of India’s policy that we will not become an invader, but will not hesitate to retaliate to protect our citizens. Now it has been proved that we are on the right path. Our indigenous manufacturing has reached a decisive level where we have also become self-sufficient in fulfilling many of our security and facilities. These achievements are a new chapter in the defense history of independent India. “

Under Operation Sindoor, India targeted terrorists and military bases in Pakistan and Pakistan occupied Kashmir from May 7 to 10 in response to the Pahalgam terror attack on 22 April. 26 people were killed in the Pahalgam terrorist attack, mostly tourists.

We should not forget the suffering from the partition of India- President

President Murmu in his address mentioned the rage of the partition of the country. He said, “We should never forget the pain caused by the partition of the country. Today we celebrated Partition Vibhishi Memor Day. Dreaded violence was observed due to partition and millions of people were forced to be displaced. Today we pay tribute to the people who have been victims of history mistakes. ”

He said that despite the problems in the global economy, India is one of the fastest growing economies in the world with the economic growth rate of 6.5 percent in the last financial year and is controlling inflation and exports are increasing. He also said in his address that India is on the path of becoming a developed economy by 2047.

Ai And the government is doing commendable work in the field of education- President

Murmu appreciated the efforts being made by the government in the field of artificial intelligence (AI), saying that it is an aspiration that India became the global center of AI by 2047. He mentioned that the most progress in India in the digital age has been in the information technology sector. He said that far-reaching changes have been made through the National Education Policy (NEP) and education has been linked to life-values and skills with tradition.

Trade and tourism in Kashmir and sports in the country

The President said, “The government is moving forward with good governance, following the policy of not tolerating corruption at all. Murmu mentioned the Kashmir Valley being connected to the rail and said that this is a major achievement and it will promote trade and tourism in that area and open the doors of new economic possibilities. Urbanization in the country is happening at a fast pace. So the government is paying special attention to the situation of cities.

He said that India will emerge as a global sports superpower on the strength of the changes that are being envisaged under the National Sports Policy 2025. She specifically mentioned in her address that in the FID Women’s World Cup final match for the World Chess Championship, two players of India Divya Deshmukh (winners) and Koneru Hampi (runners up) were face to face.

President called countrymen for environmental protection

Apart from this, the President called upon the people to make every effort to protect the environment. He said, “To face the challenge of climate change, we have to make some changes in ourselves too.”
