PM Modi’s appeal to youth from Red Fort! Said- ‘Give emphasis on developing indigenous fighter jet engines’
In his address from the Red Fort on the occasion of 79th Independence Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasized the need to develop indigenous fighter jet engines in India. Describing it as a big step towards self -sufficiency in the defense sector, he said that India would have to reduce dependence on foreign suppliers and intensify its efforts in defense construction. The Prime Minister called upon the young scientists, engineers and all government departments of the country that the engine should also be completely indigenous for India’s ‘Made in India’ fighter jets.
PM Modi said that the sweat and soil of the citizens of India strengthen India’s self -sufficiency. He appealed to small traders to install indigenous goods boards at shops and give priority to the products made in the country. He said, “We will use it strongly, not in indigenous compulsion. This should be our mantra.”
Technical self -sufficiency from IT to EV
The Prime Minister said that in today’s IT era, the strength and cyber security of data is very important. He emphasized the need to develop technologies like operating system, cyber security and artificial intelligence in India. Along with this, while talking about the upcoming electric vehicle era, he said that everything required for EV batteries, solar panels and EV infrastructure should be made in India. He believes that the youth of the country can play a leading role in innovation and production in all these areas.
India construction of 24 LCA in a year
Nashik, which was still known for fighter jet assembly like MiG and Sukhoi. He is now going to be a new identity of India’s self -reliant defense production. Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) has started its third light Combat Aircraft (LCA) production line here. This production line is the first LCA construction facility outside Bangalore, which is a strategic point of great important step. Bengaluru already has two LCA production lines, whose joint annual capacity is 16 aircraft. Now with an additional 8 annual aircraft capacity of Nashik, India will be able to build a total of 24 LCA a year.
