According to the report of news agency ANI, accused husband Vipin said that he did not kill Nikki, but he himself died. He said, “I have no regrets of this incident. There are quarrels between husband and wife, this is a very common thing.” The police arrested the accused Vipin Bhati on Saturday (23 August 2025). Such videos have also appeared in which he is seen in his house in Greater Noida, beating his wife Nikki and dragging her hair.

Nikki set fire in front of child

Nikki’s elder sister Kanchan made a video of the incident in Sirsa village. He accused Bhati and his family members of killing Nikki for dowry. Kanchan is also married in this family. Kanchan said, “We were beaten and harassed for several days. They were demanding Rs 36 lakh. He hit his neck and head, thrown acid and set him on fire in front of his child.”

According to the report of Hindustan Times, Nikki’s 6 -year -old son said, “Put something on my mother, then slapped him, then set it on fire with a lighter.” Nikki’s mother told that he had given Vipin a car, a bike and gold, but he wanted more than this. The father of the deceased said that Vipin Bhati is not a human being.

Conspiracy to show suicide in murder

A few hours before the arrest on the murder charges, accused Vipin Bhati tried to prove that his wife Nikki committed suicide by putting a post on Instagram. He wrote, “Why didn’t you tell me what happened? Why did you leave me? Why did you do this? The world is calling me a murderer. Nikki. After you leave, I am going very wrong with me.” This post is becoming fiercely viral on social media.

‘Vipin should be shot in the chest’

Nikki’s father said, “Once we had brought her (Nikki) back home due to domestic violence, but due to social pressure, her in -laws took her back. They promised that they would not harass my daughter again, but they kept harassing her. After Vipin’s encounter, Nikki’s father told ABP News that he should be shot in his chest.

Vipin’s father and brother absconding

He said, “These poor people did not think even twice before doing so with someone’s daughter. They did not think how we taught and married her. They should be hanged. My daughters should be married in the same family. My grandchildren have also told everyone how and what happened?” Vipin’s father Satyaveer Bhati and brother Rohit Bhati are absconding. His mother Daya is also named in the FIR. “
