At the ‘Voter Adhikar Yatra’ rally in Muzaffarpur, Bihar, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday made serious allegations against Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said that Modi had immediately stopped India’s action on terrorist camps in Pakistan and all this happened on the instructions of US President Donald Trump.

What did Rahul Gandhi say on Trump’s claims?

Citing Trump’s remarks, Rahul Gandhi said, ‘What Trump said that when the war was going on between India and Pakistan, I called Narendra Modi and said that whatever you are doing, stop it within 24 hours. Narendra Modi stopped everything in 5 hours, not 24 hours.



Trump claims to be ceasefire again

Donald Trump recently reiterated that he intervened during the military conflict between India and Pakistan and played a role in stopping the nuclear war. Trump says that he forced Modi to consider Modi as a ceasefire by threatening business and tariffs. He claimed in a meeting of the White House, ‘I talked to Modi and Pakistan and said that if you do not stop the war, we will not compromise any business and will impose high tariffs. Everything stopped in five hours. Trump has claimed this more than 40 times.

Trump’s comment on Modi and Pakistan

Describing Modi as ‘a great person’, Donald Trump said that this dispute between India and Pakistan has been going on with different names for hundreds of years. He also claimed that Islamabad had to retreat after his intervention. Trump said, ‘I told Pakistan that we will not do any business deal, we will put such a high tariff on you that you will not even understand. You are moving towards a nuclear war and it cannot be allowed to happen and the result was that the matter stopped within five hours.

Trump said- very old controversy between India and Pakistan

Trump also said that the dispute between India and Pakistan is very old. However, he said that this dispute has been going on for ‘hundreds of years’, while the reality is that India and Pakistan became two different nations after being independent of British rule in 1947. Before that both were the same countries.

India rejected Trump’s claims

India has consistently rejected these claims of Trump. India says that firing and ceasefire with Pakistan was compromised after a direct interaction of Director General (DGSMO) level of the two countries.

PM Mod gave this statement in Parliament

PM Narendra Modi has already made it clear in Parliament that the leader of any country cannot tell India when to stop his military action. He said that India decided to stop ‘Operation Sindoor’ according to its own, not under any external pressure.
