A shocking incident has come to light at a female paying guest house in Bengaluru. An unknown masked man allegedly entered a room, sexually assaulting a 23 -year -old woman and escaped by looting cash.

The entire incident took place on Friday (August 29, 2025) in a PG facility near Gangotri Circle at around 3 am. According to the complaint lodged, the woman who was identified was sleeping in her room, when the intruder entered inside. She felt that her roommate was returning late after working, so she slept again.

Police said that according to the pictures captured in the CCTV camera, a man wearing a mask first closed all the rooms from outside and then one of them entered the room. As soon as he entered inside, he allegedly touched the complainant incorrectly, which scared him.

When he protested, the accused threatened him with a knife, hit his feet and beat him up. Then he pushed him aside, stealing 2,500 rupees from the room and escaped.

Complaint filed against the accused in these cases

The woman immediately approached the police and lodged a complaint. A case has been registered against the unknown accused for encroachment, sexual harassment, criminal intimidation, assault and theft. The police team is investigating CCTV footage to identify the culprit and further investigation is going on.
