The rules of immigration and Faurner Act 2025 have come into effect from 1 September. This bill was passed in Parliament in April 2025. Under this bill, the bureau of immigration has been given legal rights to foreign nationals in scrutiny and action on them. The Bureau of Immigration will have constitutional rights to immediately submit foreign nationals who come to India in violation of the rules and will coordinate from the respective states.

Under these rules, the institute which is illegally whether it is a hotel, or anything else there will be the movement of foreign nationals and its registration will also be canceled with immediate effect. The state database of foreign nationals will retain. From time to time, the bureau of immigration will continue to give related information about the foreign traveler.

Foreign nationals who harm India’s interests
This bill was brought to Parliament to rein in foreign nationals who live in India with the help of Indian visa and passports, who damaged India’s interests. The Ministry of Home Affairs has issued its notification and with immediate effect this rule will apply.

Condition for foreigners coming to India
For foreigners coming to India, the conditions of reporting at the immigration center and related methods have been mentioned. On arrival in India as per the rules, every foreigner will have to present his passport or other travel documents, visa or foreign national card or electronic travel authority at the immigration center. Its purpose will be to verify the name, nationality, age, gender and place of birth and when the immigration officer is demanded, he will have to give address or intended address in India, the purpose of the journey and the proposed period of living in India or any other consistent information.
