Congress MP Tariq Anwar has strongly criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his party BJP. He said that the Prime Minister had earlier insulted Sonia Gandhi as ‘Jersey Cow’. Anwar also claimed that Congress leader Rahul Gandhi was not present at the stage on which the PM was abused.

Tariq Anwar also emphasized the need to show the mirror to BJP and RSS leaders. He said, “As you say, expect the same response.” The MP also targeted the BJP government and alleged that this government has come to power due to theft. The Congress MP said that in the democratic country, leaders should speak responsibly and take care of the respect of others. He said that the people of the country are watching such disputes carefully and leaders should understand that their language and behavior directly affect the public.

What did PM Modi say about the controversial statement on his mother?

Prime Minister Narendra Modi took a tough stand on the use of derogatory words towards his mother during the Congress-RJD’s Voter Rights rally held in Darbhanga, Bihar. He said that such a situation could not be imagined in a state with a rich cultural tradition like Bihar, where the honor of the mother was hurt. PM Modi called it not only a personal insult but an attack on the honor of the mothers, sisters and daughters of the entire country.

The PM said, “Mother is the identity of our world and our culture. Whatever happened in Bihar, she not only hurt my heart, but also shook the heart of every citizen, every mother and daughter of Bihar. This insult is not only of my mother, but is an insult to every woman in India.” He expressed emotional connection in his message towards the people and said that this sorrow is equal in the hearts of him and the people of Bihar.

The controversy erupted when the Congress and RJD activists led by local Congress leaders Naushad used derogatory words against PM Modi and waved the party flags. However, the Congress has distanced itself from the vulgar language used in this incident and video.
