UP: Swami Prasad Maurya’s increased difficulties, cases filed in Varanasi, know what is the matter?
Former Uttar Pradesh minister Swami Prasad Maurya, who is often in the news for his statements, has been registered under the Cantt police station of Varanasi. An application was filed by the advocate in Varanasi District Court regarding comment on the ancient religious scriptures Shri Ramcharitmanas and Tulsidas. Now after the case is filed, Swami Prasad Maurya’s difficulties may increase. He has come under the legal purview by making controversial statements many times before.
Ramcharitmanas and Tulsidas got a heavier
BJP leader Ashok Kumar, who filed the application in this case, told during a conversation with ABP News that during an interview in the month of January 2023, Swami Prasad Maurya made a controversial statement about Shri Ramcharitmanas composed by Tulsidas. Swami Prasad Maurya had said that crores of Hindus do not read Ramcharitmanas.
He said that all this is nonsense, Tulsidas has written it for his happiness and he had talked about removing or banning objectionable words from this Dharma Granth. Then we filed an application in the MP MLA court of Varanasi on 24 January, which was rejected by the court on 17 October.
After filing the revision again, the court has now ordered to register an FIR against Swami Prasad Maurya by listening to both sides and seeing the evidence. Now a case has been registered against him under Varanasi Cantt police station in this case.
Case filed on court direction
According to the information received by ABP News under Varanasi Cantt police station, a case has been registered on the order given by the Varanasi District Court for remarks made against former ministers Swami Prasad Maurya at the Cantt police station of Varanasi Police Commissionerate on September 2.
