ACB red, cash and jewelry seized at the power officer’s locations in Telangana

In Telangana, the Anti -Corruption Bureau (ACB) raided the locations of an official of the electricity department on Tuesday (September 16, 2025). During this time, the officers recovered cash worth Rs 2 crore, which has been confiscated. Anti -Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials have been searching the houses and bases of Assistant Divisional Engineer Ambedkar and his relatives since the morning of Tuesday (16 September).

Ambedkar, who works as Assistant Divisional Engineer (ADE) in Manikonda area of ​​Hyderabad, is accused of depositing more assets than known sources of his income. 15 ACB teams were conducting raids in many areas of the city.

What did the officials recovered in the raid?

ACB officials have identified three plots in the name of Ambedkar. Apart from this, he also has a building in Gachibavali area. During the search, officials also seized gold jewelery. They are now assessing the price of these jewelery. Along with this, the officers are also investigating the documents related to the property of Ambedkar and his relatives.

Tehsildar’s assets worth more than 5 crores were detected in raids

This is the second major case of disproportionate assets caught by ACB in less than a month. Earlier on August 19, ACB raided the locations of a Tehsildar, in which assets worth more than Rs 5 crore were detected. Officials searched seven locations associated with Tehsildar Bandi Nageshwar Rao in Warangal Fort Mandal in Warangal district.

During the raids on the bases of him and his relatives, ACB officials found several movable and immovable assets. These include a house that costs Rs 1.15 crore, 17.10 acres of agricultural land, which costs around Rs 1.43 crore, 70 tola gold jewelery, 1.791 kg silver, 23 wrist watches, two four wheelers, a two -wheelers and household items. ACB said that according to the documents, the total cost of these properties is about five crore two lakh 25 thousand 198 rupees.

Officers caught taking bribe of 4 lakhs for government work

At the same time, on September 9, a woman Town Planning Officer in Hyderabad was caught red handed taking a bribe of Rs 4 lakh for government work. ACB caught Municipal Planning Officer Maniharika in the Narsingi Municipal Office taking bribe. He had sought a bribe of Rs 10 lakh from him to approve the application of a person named Vinod under the Land Regulation Scheme (LRS). He was caught taking 4 lakh rupees. Actually, Vinod complained to ACB. After this, the ACB laid a trap and caught the officer red -handed.
