Hyderabad MP and AIMIM Chief Asaduddin Owaisi said on Saturday (6 September 2025) that his party would support India Block candidate B Sudarshan Reddy in the Vice Presidential election to be held on 9 September.

Owaisi posted on X and said that I was talked to today by Telangana CMO and an appeal was made to support Justice Sudarshan Reddy for the post of Vice President. He said that our party will support Justice Reddy, who has also been a Hyderabadi and respected judge. I also talked to Justice Reddy and greeted him.

Former Supreme Court Judge B.K. Sudarshan Reddy was declared a candidate of joint opposition parties for the Vice Presidential election on August 19. This process has been described as an ideological battle by Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge.
