Ajmer Dargah dispute case, ASI application rejected in court, next hearing on 1 November

A hearing was held in the Civil Court on Saturday on the claim of being a Shiva temple in the Ajmer Dargah complex. The Court of India Archaeological Survey (Asi) And the applications of the Minority Department were rejected. The hearing on the application of the Dargah Committee will continue. The court has fixed the next date 1 November. A heavy police force was deployed in and around the court premises.

Due to the sensitivity of the case, there were strict security arrangements in the court. Additional forces were also deployed with the Civil Lines Police to prevent any untoward incident. The last hearing was held on 30 August. Then the lawyers of ASI and Minority Department argued. He said that the petitioner Vishnu Gupta did not complete the legal process while claiming the temple. Therefore, he demanded to dismiss the petition.

Vishnu Gupta, the national president of the Hindu Army, claimed that there is a Sankat Mochan Shiva temple in the Dargah complex. He said that there should not be a ban on worship there. The Dargah Committee and the Union Ministry of Archeology strongly opposed this claim. The lawyers of the ministry told the court that the plaintiff did not adopt the right legal process before filing the case. Now this matter will be heard again in court on 1 November.
