The program of Hockey Asia Cup 2025 has been released on Tuesday, August 19. India will start their campaign against China on 29 August. The hosts are with Japan, China and Kazakhstan in Pool A. The teams of Malaysia, Korea, Bangladesh and China Taipei have been kept in Pool B. At the same time, Pakistan is not a part of this tournament.

The Asia Cup 2025 hockey will be held in Rajgir, Bihar between August 29 and September 7. India will take its first match against China on the opening day. This will then face Japan on 31 August. The third match will be played by the Indian team from Kazakhstan on September 1. Let me tell you, India has won this title thrice so far. The Indian team became the winner of the Hockey Asia Cup in 2003, 2007 and 2017 while the team was runner-up five times.

At the same time, the winner of this tournament of eight teams will get a direct place in the World Cup to be held in the Netherlands and Belgium in 2026. The tournament will start on August 29 with Malaysia and Bangladesh, while India and China will face face-to-face in the final match of the first day.

After the pool phase, Super Four matches will be played till 3 and 6 September. Super fur matches will be announced after Poolcharan. The final, third place play-off and fifth-sixth place will be classified on September 7.
