Bihar Weather: Meteorological Department’s big alert in Bihar, Muzaffarpur, Saran and these districts likely to have heavy rainfall today
The state remains active in the southwest monsoon. Due to this, there is a possibility of heavy rainfall in many districts till today (Friday) and tomorrow (Saturday). On Friday (September 19, 2025), there is a possibility of light and moderately rainfall somewhere in the state. There will be drizzle or cloud shadow in some districts. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert for heavy rain in four districts.
Patna Meteorological Center has warned of cloud roaring and thunderstorms with heavy rains in East Champaran, Muzaffarpur, Saran and Bhojpur today. On the other hand, the activity of monsoon can be seen more in South Bihar today. The area is predicted for excessive rainfall, lightning shining and cloud roaring. Its effect is visible since late night.
Clouds in many districts including Patna since morning
The Meteorological Department issued a Yellow alert for Kaimur, Rohtas, Aurangabad, Gayaji and Kishanganj last night around 3 pm on Thursday (September 18, 2025). These districts have received rain. Talking about Patna in South Bihar, there have been clouds in many areas and other districts since morning.
The most rains in Supaul in 24 hours
According to the meteorological report released on Thursday afternoon, five districts received heavy rainfall in 24 hours. Heavy rainfall was recorded in Supaul with 123.4 mm, 118.6 in Sitamarhi, 79.4 in West Champaran, 77.4 in Madhubani and 75.2 mm in Begusarai. There was medium level rainfall with 62 mls in Siwan, 60 in Purnia, 60 in Maner in Patna, 50 in Darbhanga, 42.6 in Araria, 38.2 in East Champaran, 37.2 in Kishanganj, 34.6 in Saharsa and 32.2 mm in Gaya.
State temperatures increased by one to two degrees. The maximum mercury was 31.9 degrees Celsius with an increase of 1.3 degrees in Patna. Most of the temperature in Rajgir of Nalanda was 33.7 degrees Celsius. Most districts of the state recorded a temperature between 31 and 32 degrees. The lowest temperature was 28.6 degrees Celsius in Farbisganj, Araria. Today (Friday) there is no possibility of any special change in the temperature of the state.
