CP Radhakrishnan described his victory in the Vice Presidential election on Tuesday (September 9) as a victory of the nationalist ideology and pledged to work towards making India a developed nation by 2047. He won the Vice Presidential election by securing 452 votes, while the opposition candidate B.K. Sudarshan Reddy got 300 votes.

Radhakrishnan said in his first public remarks after the victory, “The other party (opposition coalition) said that this (election) is an ideological battle, but with the voting pattern we feel that the nationalist ideology has won.” He said, “This is the victory of every Indian, we all have to work together. If we have to create a developed India by 2047, then we have to focus on development. ”
