Bus-truck collision in West Bengal, 10 pilgrims killed, 35 injured

Sad news has come from West Bengal. On Friday (August 15), a major road accident occurred in Bardhaman district, in which 10 people died. Many passengers were injured there. A private bus collided with a truck parked on the roadside. The bus hit the truck from behind. This accident was so terrible that some passengers died on the spot. All the injured have been admitted to Bardhaman Medical College Hospital. This has been confirmed by Superintendent of Police United Das, Eastern Bardhaman.

According to the information, this accident happened when a bus filled with passengers collided with a truck parked on the road on the way. Passengers were returning after bathing in the Ganges Sagar. The bus was going towards Durgapur. The accident occurred at Nala Ferry Ghat on National Highway No-19 in Eastern Bardhaman. The collision was so fast that the front part of the bus was completely damaged.

After the incident, there was a scream on the spot. Local people first started rescue work and police were also informed. After getting information about the accident, police and local administration officials reached the spot. He started relief and rescue operations.

On receiving the news of the accident, Additional Superintendent of Police of the district Ark Banerjee and District Magistrate Ayesha Rani reached the Hospital. Meanwhile, Superintendent of Police of Eastern Bardhaman Saik Das said that the bus was going on a pilgrimage. Meanwhile, on the way, the bus had an accident with the truck.

The police officer confirmed that 10 people died in a horrific bus accident. 35 people were injured. The condition of some people is still said to be serious. According to Police Superintendent Saik Das, all the passengers are residents of Bihar. The bus had 45 passengers including 5 children.
