Chief of Defense Staff (CDS) General Anil Chauhan visited Guru Gorakhnath on Thursday evening (September 4, 2025) at Gorakhnath Temple in Gorakhpur. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath was also present during this period. On this occasion, Yogi Kamal Nath, the head priest of Gorakhnath temple, presented the CDS as a statue of Angavastra and Gorakhnath as a memory. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath appreciated the contribution of General Chauhan in the service of the country.

Please tell that CDS General Anil Chauhan is on a 2 -day visit to Gorakhpur. Along with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, he attended the Bhoomi Pujan-Shilanas ceremony organized for beautification of Gorkha War Memorial and construction of Gorkha Museum at Gorkha Recruitment Depot on Thursday. After the program, he reached the Gorakhnath temple and saw Shivavatar Guru Gorakhnath in the presence of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and worshiped amidst Vedic chanting.

CM Yogi shared a post on the social media platform X regarding the visit of CDS General Anil Chauhan. Giving information, the Chief Minister said that he has also laid the foundation stone of a museum related to Gorkha war.
