CJI Gawai reached Ranthambore National Park, suggested to change the law related to the conservation of tigers

Chief Justice (CJI) Bhushan Ramakrishna Gawai (BR Gawai) of the Supreme Court of India reached Ranthambore National Park in Sawai Madhopur district of Rajasthan along with several other judges of the Supreme Court on Saturday (September 13, 2025). Chief Justice of India BR Gavai and other judges visited Ranthambore National Park and saw the entire arrangements here and subsequently. During his visit, CJI Gavai said many important things about the conservation of tigers in the country.

He said that the law has many stringent provisions to bring poachers to their end, but still there is a need to make it more empowered to stop the poaching of animals.

Important role of law in conservation of forest and wildlife

Chief Justice of India BR Gavai said that India’s law has an important role in the protection of forest and wildlife in the country. Because of this, all the creatures living in the forest and forests are safe. However, there is also a need to increase the number of corridors across the country for full conservation of wildlife.

CJI BR Gawai Referred to Nalsa

Referring to the National Legal Services Authority (Nalsa), he said that millions of cases are being disposed of through mutual consent through the National Lok Adalat in the country, which is a very positive step in itself. Apart from this, referring to the creation of a bench of the Mumbai High Court in Kolhapur, Maharashtra, he said that if this happens in Rajasthan, it will be a positive effort in itself, but right now nothing can be said for it right now.

Celebrating about 20 judges of Supreme Court with family members

Supreme Court judges Justice Sandeep Mehta and Vijay Vishnoi were also present on the occasion. It is noteworthy that about 20 judges including India’s Chief Justice BR Gavai are on a three -day private tour of Sawai Madhopur from 12 to 14 September with their families.
