The party has taken an aggressive stand on the comment against Israeli Ambassador Ruveen Azar’s Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra in India. In fact, Israeli Ambassador Ruveen criticized Priyanka Gandhi Vadra for accusing Tel Aviv for the massacre in Gaza. The Congress party criticized that the language of Israeli ambassador is ‘objectionable’.

Former Union Minister Anand Sharma said that denying the human crisis in Gaza is equal to condemnation. Posting on X, he wrote, “It is worthy of being strongly condemned by the Israeli ambassador to openly deny the human tragedy in Gaza and the ruthless killing of more than 60,000 unarmed people, especially children, women and the elderly.”

Crime against humanity

The Congress leader further wrote, ‘The language used by the Israeli ambassador is a nicular and derogatory. The whole world is shocked by this cruelty of the Israeli army, attack on schools and hospitals and hunger -creating behavior. This is a crime against humanity.

An insult to the dignity of Indian democracy

At the same time, Congress leader Pawan Kheda also expressed his response and said whether freedom of expression in India is now being controlled by Tel Aviv. The ambassador of the country accused of massacre around the world targets an existing MP, it is a direct insult to the dignity of Indian democracy.

Kheda demanded the intervention from the Foreign Minister, saying, “Will Dr. Jaishankar will comment on the effort to threaten Priyanka Gandhi on behalf of the Israeli ambassador or is freedom of expression in India now being controlled from Israel?”

Wrote this thing tagging the Israeli ambassador

In his post, he tagged Israeli Ambassador Ruveen Azar and criticized him for killing citizens in Gaza, including people standing in queues for assistance. Pawan Kheda said, ‘No kind of tip or evasive can hide the truth.’

Let me tell you that earlier on Tuesday (July 12, 2025), Congress MP Jairam Ramesh was strongly condemned by the Israeli ambassador’s comment on Priyanka Gandhi Vadra. He also criticized the calm trend of PM Modi government against the atrocities on Israeli’s Gaza. Ramesh demanded that the Government of India should seriously consider the response of the ambassador.
