American team was going to come for sixth round talks
The trade deal was to be discussed between the US and India from 25-29 August. Now it has been claimed in the report that the American teams will not come for the next round meeting associated with the trade deal this month. It is being told that the date of his visit will be decided again. India and the United States have so far set up five rounds on the proposed bilateral trade agreement (BTA). The US team was going to come to India for the sixth round of talks.

Commerce Secretary Sunil Barthwal said on Thursday (14 August 2025) that negotiations on bilateral trade agreement (BTA) are going on between Indo-US. Both countries have targeted to double their trade under BTA by 2030. He told that with America we are completely associated with the trade deal. He said that America is our very important partner.
Trump gave this sign for installing secondary tariff
Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump has indicated that the US may not put secondary tariffs on countries continuing to buy crude oil from Russia. There were fears that if the US implemented the secondary tariff, then India could have affected India.
Prior to meeting Putin, Trump told Fossk News, “Russian President Vladimir Putin lost an oil customer, which is India. India was importing about 40 percent oil. China is also importing a lot of oil and if I put a secondary tariff then it will be disinterested for them.”
