CWC Meeting: ‘Yogi considers himself to be the successor of PM Modi’, Kharge said in CWC meeting, said ‘burden’ to Nitish Kumar

Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge fiercely targeted the ruling party at the CWC meeting held at Sadakat Ashram in Patna on Wednesday (September 24, 2025). He also took a dig at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. He said that along with the Modi government at the Center, BJP governments of other states also keep looking for opportunities to keep religious polarization and communal sentiments vivid.

The Congress President said that the BJP formed the NDA government in Bihar by re -supporting Nitish Kumar in January 2024. The Nitish government promised development, but Bihar’s economy is lagging behind. The double engine claim proved to be hollow, no special package was received from the Center.

‘BJP now starts considering Nitish as a burden’

He said that this meeting of CWC is very important. We are meeting at a time when India is going through a very challenging and worrying phase at both international and national levels. He further said that internal discord in the NDA alliance is now openly in front. Nitish Kumar has been mentally retired by the BJP. The BJP is now considering them as a burden.

‘UP CM considers himself the successor of the Prime Minister’

Kharge also targeted UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath fiercely. He said that the most strange thing, the CM of UP considers himself the successor of the Prime Minister. He also wrote an article in protest against reservation earlier. Now they have banned rallies in the name of castes.

The Congress President raised the question and said whether the Prime Minister will tell the country that on one hand we are all talking about doing caste census and on the other side there are people who take to the road against the injustice and atrocities happening on them, then they are talking about putting them in jail. Is this right? You should tell the public.
