A heartbreaking incident has happened in Suryapet district of Telangana, which has shocked the whole society. Drunk, a father brutally beat up his 12-month-old innocent daughter. The incident took place on Friday (September 19, 2025) in Priyanka Colony.

Here, an accused named Venkatesh, during a quarrel with his wife, was angry with the cry of the girl and slammed her on the ground. The seriously injured girl succumbed to the government hospital on Saturday (September 20, 2025) in the morning.

According to the police, the accused Venkatesh is a laborer who regularly consumes alcohol. On Friday night, he returned home drunk. The wife tried to pacify her, but the quarrel grew so much that her one-year-old daughter Bhavigna started crying loudly. Seeing the fear of the neighbors coming, Venkatesh grabbed the girl with his feet and slammed it on the ground and then kicked many.

The girl suffered deep injuries on her head and internal bleeding occurred. Family members immediately admitted him to the Government General Hospital in Suryapet, where doctors placed him on a ventilator. But as soon as dawn, Bhavigna’s breath stopped.

Police arrested accused

The local police has immediately registered a case. Suryapet police station in -charge N. Balu Nayak said, ‘Accused Venkatesh has been arrested. The postmortem report cited head injuries and internal damage as the cause of death. We are investigating aspects of domestic violence and alcohol abuse. This incident is creating a wave of resentment in the area. Women organizations have demanded a strict punishment, calling it a heinous example of child violence.
