ED’s big action against land mafia in Rajasthan, many locations raided in land fraud case, cash worth crores seized
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) raided several complexes of alleged land mafia Gyan Chand Agarwal and his colleagues in Jaipur on Sunday (September 7, 2025) in big cases related to fraud. There are more than 300 objections registered against Aggarwal in Jaipur.
The Enforcement Directorate said in a statement that the raid campaign was conducted on Wednesday and Thursday (3-4 September 2025) under the provisions of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), 2002. The ED started its investigation on the basis of several FIRs registered by the Rajasthan Police against the land mafia Gyan Chand Agarwal, a resident of Jaipur. Aggarwal is allegedly involved in many cases of land grab and fraud.
More than 300 cases registered against accused alone in Jaipur
The agency said that more than 300 cases are registered against him in Jaipur alone. There are many other cases against him across the state. According to police cases, Aggarwal along with his colleagues prepared forged documents and cheated investors by giving false assurances.
Accused of cheating more than Rs 150 crore
Officials said that they are accused of cheating more than Rs 150 crore from various investors. Many arrest warrants have been issued against him. The agency alleged that Aggarwal collected money from potential investors and companies in the name of selling plots, but either did not transfer land or the same plot was sold to many people through fake documents.
Many important evidence found in raids
The agency said that during the search, the ED has found documents and evidence that proved crime related to acquisition of cash, foreign companies and assets, which show that funds were sent abroad through fake companies and invested in other businesses including mining.
The ED said that digital equipment like hard disk and mobile phones was also seized during the raid campaign, which revealed large -scale suspicious transactions. The agency said that this search is an important step in exposing the network of land scam active in Rajasthan.
