On Friday (September 12, 2025), a 45 -year -old real estate businessman was stabbed to death by some miscreants at HB Colony in Maulali, Hyderabad. The businessman has been identified as Srikanth Reddy, a resident of HB Colony.

According to police officials, Dhanraj, a resident of Lalapta, the main accused of this murder, worked for Srikanth till recently. ACP Y Ven Venkat Reddy of Kushaiguda said, ‘Dhanraj used to come to work in a state of intoxication and create troubles for Srikanth Reddy. Because of his antics, Srikanth fired him 20 days ago.

Dhanraj reached Srikanth’s office with friend

According to the police, despite being fired from the job, Dhanraj used to travel around Srikanth’s office in HB Colony and appealed to hire back. On Friday, Dhanraj met Srikanth with a friend Daniel in his office and took Rs 1,200 to buy liquor from him.

After drinking alcohol, Dhanraj and his friend returned to Srikanth’s office in the evening. When Dhanraj again talked about the job, Srikanth asked him to come back on Tuesday. When Dhanraj stubbornly, Srikanth went out of the office. During this, Dhanraj and Daniel also followed him.

Accused absconding after stabbing

As soon as he got out, Dhanraj and Daniel attacked Srikanth with a knife. The ACP said, “On Dhanraj’s instructions, Daniel stabbed Srikanth in a street in front of his office.” After the attack, both the accused escaped. On the information of the local people, Kushaiguda police reached the spot and sent the body for postmortem. A case has been registered against the accused under Section 103 (1) (murder) of BNS. The search for the accused has been started.
