Fire in bus carrying passengers inside Mumbai airport, immediately active fire brigade team

The bus continued with passengers at Mumbai Airport caught fire. The incident took place on Tuesday (August 19, 2025) on the airport’s domestic terminal T-1 between 12 noon. Indigo passenger bus that takes passengers from the aircraft to the terminal caught fire. To control the fire, the fire brigade team of the airport took the front and the fire was extinguished in a while. It is a matter of relief that there was no rider in this bus. The incident had no effect on the airline services.

The incident took place at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport in Mumbai on Tuesday (August 19, 2025) around 12.30 pm. However, the incident on Terminal T-1 had no effect on other flights at Mumbai Airport. All other flights continued to be operated in general. However, the airport officials have not yet shared detailed and official information about this incident.

Major accident averted at Mumbai Airport two days ago

Earlier on Saturday (August 16, 2025) at Mumbai Airport, a major accident was averted. In fact, on August 16 at Mumbai Airport, Indigo Airline’s Airbus A321 flight (back part) collided with the runway. The incident occurred at the airport when the aircraft carried out a low-altitude go-around due to bad weather (the process of revolving at a low height). However, the aircraft later made a safe landing on the runway.

At the same time, a spokesman of the IndiGo airline, while giving information about the incident, said that this incident happened with the aircraft due to bad weather. However, the pilot made the aircraft landing safely. The airline spokesman said that after the safe landing of the aircraft, investigation and repair will be done under the standard protocol. After this, this aircraft (Airbus A321) will be brought into operation only after regulatory permission.
