The country’s new Vice President CP Radhakrishnan took oath of office and secrecy on Friday (September 12, 2025). Former Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar also reached the occasion, whose post was vacant after suddenly resigned on July 22, which elections were held on 9 September. This was the first time that Jagdeep Dhankhar publicly appeared in public after resignation.

Former President Venkaiah Naidu and former Vice President Hamid Ansari also arrived at the swearing -in ceremony of CP Radhakrishnan. NDA sources say that Radhakrishnan’s oath ceremony was organized after seeing the Muhurta. Odisha CM Mohan Majhi, Santosh Gangwar of Jharkhand, Administrator Gulab Chand Kataria of Chandigarh also appeared on the occasion.

Please tell that Radhakrishnan has become the 15th Vice President of the country. He got a total of 452 votes in the election held on 9 September, while the opposition candidate B.K. Sudarshan Reddy got only 300 votes. Before becoming Vice President, CP Radhakrishnan was the Governor in Maharashtra. Apart from this, he has also been the state president of Tamil Nadu.
