Defense Minister Rajnath Singh announced the military modernization schemes of the Government of India on Saturday (August 30, 2025). Addressing a conference, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh said that at present, India’s armies cannot depend on supply from abroad.

He said, “The government will provide complete aerial security to all the important installations of the country under the proposed Sudarshan Chakra Air Defense System in the next 10 years.” According to PTI, he said, “This defense system will be both aggressive and defensive, so that any security threat can be encountered effectively.”

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh arrived in Noida district of Uttar Pradesh to inaugurate a private aero engine test facility of Raphe MPHIBR PVT LTD. In his address after the inauguration, the Defense Minister said, ‘The defense equipment and engine-testing facility of this company is a strong example of self-sufficient India.

He said, ‘India will develop a powerful indigenous aero-engine. All preparations have been completed for this project and soon work will be started on it. At the same time, while speaking on the Sudarshan Chakra, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh called him a game-changer to protect India’s future.

Drone technology is very important in modern war, It is necessary to include in war policy- Rajnath

According to PTI, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh said, ‘Currently drones have become a very important part of modern war strategy. It is very important to include them in India’s war policy. He said, ‘Usually when we hear the word aircraft, a picture of Tejas, Rafael and Fighter Jets comes to our mind. It is also completely natural, as they are all fighter aircraft. However, in today’s changing times, drone has emerged as an important force.
