From Pepsi to KFC and McDonald’s … How to answer Trump’s tariff? Baba Ramdev told

Baba Ramdev on US Product Boycott: After US President Donald Trump imposed 50% tariff on India, the anti -America spirit in the country has intensified. This tariff has been imposed to buy oil from Russia and is considered one of the highest import duty in the world.

After this decision, the demand for boycott of big American companies like Pepsi, Coca -Cola, Subway, KFC and McDonald’s has started arising. Yogguru Ramdev has appealed to Indians to boycott American products completely. He said, ‘Not a single Indian Pepsi, Coca -Cola, Sabway, KFC or McDonald’s shops should be visible. There should be such a big boycott that there is a stir in America.

Boycott is also happening globally

This protest against America is not limited to India only. Countries like France, Britain and Canada are also seeing a wave of boycott of American products. If the population of 1.5 billion of India keeps distance from American companies, then these brands may suffer heavy losses.

PM Modi’s indigenous mantra

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has called upon people to ‘adopt indigenous, increase local’. He said, “Whatever party or leader wants to make India the third largest economy in the world, it has to raise the resolve among the people to buy only indigenous products. Every item made by the hard work of the people of India is indigenous for us.”

Trump’s statement and India’s response

Donald Trump wrote on social media, “India is buying oil on a large scale from Russia and selling it on profits in the open market. That is why I am increasing the tariff on India.” Describing the move as “unfair, unjust and unacceptable”, the Government of India said that all necessary steps will be taken to protect national interests.

Echo of indigenous movement

AAP MP Ashok Kumar Mittal wrote a letter to Trump reminding of the 1905 indigenous movement and said that if 146 crore Indian strategically prohibits American companies, it will have more impact on America than India.
