GEN-Z protesters pierced 5 star hotels in Nepal, a woman from UP dies

The religious journey of a family of Ghaziabad turned into a tragedy during the Gen-Z movement in Nepal. Actually, the family set fire to the luxury hotel in Kathmandu. A woman died in this accident, while dozens of Indian tourists are still stranded there.

Ramveer Singh Gola (58) and his wife Rajesh Gola went to Kathmandu to visit the Pashupatinath temple on 7 September, but on the night of 9 September, their five -star hotel was set on fire during violent protests.

Gen-Z performance began on 8 September

The GEN-Z performance began in different parts of the country including Kathmandu on 8 September, after which the demonstration became violent. These protesters demanded that the government lift the ban from social media. The protesters tried to enter Parliament and set fire to several government and private establishments when the movement became violent.

How did the woman lost her life?

According to relatives, Ramveer Gola and his wife Rajesh Gola were staying on the upper floor of a hotel when the protesters set fire to the lower floors. Fearing this, Ramveer tried to put his wife down with the help of the curtain, but she slipped from her grip and fell. Rajesh suffered serious injuries and died on the way to the hospital due to excess blood flow. Family members brought his body to his residence in Ghaziabad’s Master Colony at around 10:30 pm on Friday.

What did the son tell about the incident?

Rajesh Gola’s elder son Vishal told TOI, ‘The mob attacked the hotel and set him on fire. When the smoke filled the stairs, my father broke the glass of the window, tied the sheets and jumped on the mattress. My mother slipped in an attempt to get down and fell on her back.

Indian Embassy helped very little: Sons of the deceased

Vishal alleged that the network was completely stalled, due to which we could not talk. He said, ‘We did not know about his hideout for two days. Eventually, my father met in a relief camp, but my mother died in the hospital. Vishal also alleged that he helped ‘very little’ from the Indian embassy.
