Halal Township: Halal Township in the financial capital of the country created a ruckus, NHRC sought a report from Maharashtra government in 2 weeks

The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has taken cognizance on a complaint given in the proposed Halal Lifestyle Township project in Karjat area near Mumbai. In the complaint filed before the Commission, it has been alleged that the township is especially promoted and developed for the Muslim community, which promotes community segregation and is a violation of anti -equality and discrimination provisions in the Constitution.

In the complaint sent to the National Human Rights Commission, the complainant has expressed apprehension that this type of project is not only contrary to social and constitutional standards, but can also prove to be dangerous from security and social terms. It is alleged that this region can turn into a radical sector in the future.

Notice to Chief Secretary of Maharashtra Government
The Commission has issued a notice to the Chief Secretary of the Government of Maharashtra, considering the complaint prima facie serious human rights violation. The notice has been asked to submit a detailed report within two weeks and to make it clear that under which provisions RERA (RERA) issued such permission or license.

Priyank Kanungo told the advertisement to poison
The bench of the Commission was chaired by Priyank Kanungo, a member of the National Human Rights Commission. He said that if the allegations raised in the case are found to be correct, then it will be an example of serious violation of human rights and strict action will be taken on it. He wrote in a post on X that this advertisement is not a poison, it is an advertisement. In Karjat area near Mumbai, a halal life -style township is being built for only Muslim religion. This is the nation within the nation. The Maharashtra government is being noticed.
