‘I will also ask for support from NDA MPs, because …’, Opposition candidate for the post of Vice President, B.K. Sudarshan Reddy’s big statement

Elections for the post of Vice President of India are going to be held on September 9, 2025 next month. Former Supreme Court Judge B.C. Sudarshan Reddy has also filed nomination for the election. After the nomination, now the opposition India alliance candidate B.K. Sudarshan Reddy is engaged in gathering support for himself from all political parties. Sudarshan Reddy said that I am getting support from many parties and I will demand support for myself from the parties of the ruling party.

Vice Presidential candidate of India alliance B.K. Sudarshan Reddy said, “In today’s situation, when I am talking, I am now a candidate of opposition political parties because I am supporting many more parties too. I have met Arvind Kejriwal, he has assured me of help in the Vice Presidential election. I am not a coalition with India but I hope to help. I hope that I am getting a good support.”

NDA Reddy spoke on the support of regional parties

B. Sudarshan Reddy said on the support of the regional parties of the Satarudh National Democratic Alliance (NDA), “I am going to write a letter to help me. Because I am not a member of a political party, never stayed in any political party, nor will I be in future and will ever be in future. So I have every right to ask for votes from every political party.”

What are Reddy’s views on political fight

Sudarshan Reddy said, “This is not a political fight because I am not a politician, but this is an ideological battle. NDA Vice Presidential candidate CP Radhakrishnan comes from an Extreme of Thaat. So it can be called an ideological battle, but there is no personal or political battle.”

India alliance candidate B.K. Sudarshan Reddy has given a statement on cross voting and hope of getting votes from NDA. He said, “Why not, Nitish Babu and Naveen Babu are the great leaders, I know him privately. I will definitely ask for help from him.”

Reddy’s response to Home Minister Amit Shah’s statement

B. Sudarshan Reddy said on the statement of Union Home Minister Amit Shah, “I did not understand that because this decision came in the Supreme Court in 2011. It was not my decision. It is unlikely. The decision is from the Supreme Court. Justice SS was sitting on me, he is not in this world today. The Home Minister is not talking about the Supreme Court, it is a matter of his understanding. It was not a matter of me. For this, there would be a hindrance for the government.

Reddy said on Jagdeep Dhankhar resignation

Apart from this, speaking on the resignation of former Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar. Sudarshan Reddy said, “I don’t ask any questions about anyone, he is also a respected person, I do not know what their reasons. Everyday things change, then you will see what will happen next.”
