IMD alert! Warning of heavy rain across the country from 11 to 16 September, know the weather conditions in the coming days
The monsoon phase in India is not over yet. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has warned that the weather patterns may deteriorate in many parts of the country between 11 and 16 September. During this time, not only heavy rains but also thunderstorms and strong winds will also be at risk. Especially in Northeast, Eastern and Central India, its effect will be seen more.
In the coming days in different parts of the country, the Indian Meteorological Department has shared some information in terms of weather. According to the IMD, heavy rains are expected in the eastern parts in Madhya Pradesh on September 11. There is a possibility of continuous rain in Chhattisgarh from 11 to 14 September. Alert for heavy rainfall has been issued in Bihar on 11 to 14 September and 11 September in Jharkhand. Apart from Bihar’s capital Patna, Gopalganj, Kishanganj, Muzaffarpur, Siwan, East Champaran, Saran, Shivhar, Sitamarhi, Vaishali and Bhagalpur have also been forecast today. Apart from this, there is a low pressure area in the Bay of Bengal. Due to this, many districts of Bihar will be cloudy during the next 48 to 72 hours and intermittent rain can be seen. According to meteorological experts, the water level of local rivers in these states may increase and waterlogging in low -lying areas may arise.
The weather conditions from Odisha to Assam
According to the Meteorological Department, heavy rains are likely in Odisha on September 11 and 12 in many places and very heavy rains in some places. West Bengal and Sikkim are expected to have heavy rains in sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim on 13 September. Talking about the northeastern state, light to moderate rain and heavy rain activities will continue in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura from 11 to 16 September. Here the risk of problems like landslides and road barriers may increase.
Vigilance is necessary in North India
There is a possibility of rain in the states located in North India. There are chances of rain in Uttar Pradesh on 11, 12, 15 and 16 September in eastern parts and on September 12 in western parts. The Meteorological Department has predicted rain in many cities of UP on 11 and 12 September. On September 11, heavy rains have been warned in Gorakhpur, Santakbir Nagar, Basti, Kushinagar, Maharajganj, Siddharthnagar, Gonda, Balrampur, Shravasti, Bahraich and Lakhimpur Kheri districts of eastern UP. At the same time, a warning of heavy rain has been issued here on 13 and 14 September in Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. There is the highest risk of cloudburst and landslides in the hilly areas, so passengers will need to take special care.
Status of west and South India
The situation in West and South India is also not correct in the weather. Talking about Maharashtra and Goa, there are chances of heavy rainfall in Konkan, Goa, Marathwada and Madhya Maharashtra between 12 and 16 September. In many districts of Maharashtra, the rainy season is going to be fast for the next three days. There is a possibility of heavy rainfall from Satara to Mumbai and Konkan region. During this time, people have been advised to be vigilant and take necessary precautions. The scope of rain will increase on September 12 and in addition, a special warning has been issued for Pune, city and the entire Vidarbha region. In the states of South India like Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Karnataka, the process of rain will continue with thunderstorms and strong winds. During this time, there can also be incidents of lightning and thunderstorms.
