Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the nation from the Red Fort for the 11th consecutive year on 79th Independence Day on Friday. Preparations are going on to make this opportunity historic. According to sources, Prime Minister Modi’s address will focus on India’s global approach, international partnerships and the important role of the armed forces in the nation’s security. In response to the terrorist attack on April 22 in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, India demolished the terrorist structure located in Pakistan and Pok by air strike on the intervening night of May 7, 2025. India carried out accurate attacks in Pakistan under Operation Sindoor.

Sources said that Prime Minister can also announce central assistance to restore state status to Jammu and Kashmir. He informed that after the proposal suggested by the Governor of the Union Territory, legislative and administrative measures will be taken to restore the state status of the area. Like previous years, this time also the Prime Minister’s Independence Day address is expected to be decided by the national agenda.

Operation vermilion ceremony organized
This year’s Independence Day celebrations will also be a symbol of completion of 100 days of Operation Sindoor. The Red Fort will be decorated on the theme of operation in honor of the armed forces. Large logos of Operation Sindoor will be installed on the walls of the monument and this event will also have a picture of the Chenab railway bridge, which is a symbol of engineering achievement and national pride.

Military bands will perform in 100 cities of the country
During the flag hoisting ceremony, the Air Force helicopter Operation will fly over the Red Fort with a symbol of Operation Sindoor, while 21 cannons will be saluted with 105 mm cannons. Military band across the country will perform in 100 cities to commemorate 100 days of operation. Thus, this time the Independence Day program will pay tribute to the celebration of freedom of the nation and the courage of the armed forces.
