Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi said during an event on Saturday (August 23, 2025) that India has not left any opportunity since 2014. The PM claimed that the previous Congress government could not see the election ahead of the election, so he used to give up opportunities for technology and industry development in the country.
PM Modi further said that the Congress government kept the people of the country entangled in vote bank politics. Using an idiom, he said that often people say, ‘The bus left’, that is, we lost some opportunity. During the tenure of the previous government in our country, we left behind the opportunity of technology and industry.
PM Modi mentioned 2G scam
The PM further said, ‘I have not come here today to criticize anyone, but sometimes in democracy, the truth is clearly known. The earlier government did not move ahead of the election. He believed that making state -of -the -art technology is the job of developed countries. Whenever we needed something, we used to import it and that is why our country lagged behind other countries for years.
Targeting the UPA over the 2G scam, PM Modi said that the country was always dependent on foreign companies, which I give some examples. He further said that when the era of internet started around the world, our government missed. Then when the 2G era came, what happened during that time, we all saw and we missed again.
Country economy changed since 2014
The PM said that we depended on foreign companies for 2G, 3G and even 4G facilities and how long did this last? So after 2014, India changed its perspective. India decided that now we will not leave any bus, but now we will sit on the driving seat and move forward.
Referring to Kovid-19, PM Modi said that despite the shaking of epidemic, India managed to maintain a strong situation. Our financial deficit is estimated to be reduced by 4.4% even after the Kovid-19 epidemic. There has been a commendable improvement in the country’s economy.
