India won the gold medal in the World Archery Championship 2025, defeated France

The Indian Compound men’s team won their first gold medal by defeating France on Sunday at the World Archery Championships in Guangju, South Korea.
The 23-year-old Rishabh Yadav, along with Aman Saini and Prathamesh Fajy, gave India an exciting win on France in the title match of the men’s compound team. The score after three sets was equal from 176–176 but the second seeded Indian team maintained their patience in the decisive phase and achieved historical gold by scoring a spectacular 59 against France.
Rishabh and veteran V. Jyoti Surekha had to be content with the silver medal against the Netherlands pair Sane De Lat and Mike Shloer in the final of the mixed team event.
Frensy Nicholas Girard, Jean Philip Bolch and Francois Dubois won the first phase of the men’s final, but the Indians who had defeated Australia, America and Turkey overnight, returned to the second phase and made the score equal.
Even after the first three arrows of the fourth round, both teams were on par. However, Indians made three 10 at the required time. In response, the French team was able to make only two 9 and one 10.
