India’s major decision after Trump’s tariff announcement, direct flight for China will start from next month!
After the announcement of US President Donald Trump’s huge tariff on India, now the Modi government of the Center is also preparing to reply to America in a diplomatic manner. It is reported that direct air flights closed due to the Kovid-19 epidemic between India and China may start again next month.
It is an indication that diplomatic relations between the two countries are improving. According to the Reuters report, the Indian government has asked airlines like Air India and IndiGo to be ready to start flights for China. These flights can be started suddenly.
Sour in India-China relations
After a violent clash in the Galwan Valley in June 2020, relations between the two countries remained tense. After this clash, military deployment on the border increased and several rounds of military and diplomatic talks took place, but many issues are still unresolved. Investment from China was banned due to border disputes and Kovid, there was a tough investigation on imports and direct air flights were closed. Due to which the contact between business and common people decreased.
PM Modi’s visit to China
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Tianzin on August 28, where he will attend the Summit of Shanghai Cooperation Sangathan (SCO). This will be Modi’s first visit to China after many years.
Bilateral meetings during the summit
SCO is a regional organization, which includes China, Russia and Central Asian countries, focused on security, trade and political cooperation. During PM Modi’s visit, in addition to the sessions of the conference, there is also a possibility of bilateral meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping. This dialogue may take place amidst efforts to improve stressful relations after the 2020 Ladakh border dispute.

Prior to Kovid-19, direct flights between India and China used to run, but they stopped due to epidemic. Now passengers have to go through cities like Hong Kong, Singapore or Bangkok, which increases both time and expenses. The journey will become simple and affordable with the start of direct flights.
