
Srinagar, February 7, 2024: The literary world of Kashmir and India suffered a significant loss today with the passing of veteran poet and broadcaster Mir Mohammad Farooq Nazki. He breathed his last at a hospital in Katra after suffering a heart attack, at the age of 83.
Nazki was not only a celebrated poet but also a prominent figure in media and communication. He held key positions in All India Radio Kashmir and Doordarshan, shaping the regional media landscape for decades.
