A heartbreaking incident has come to light in Hassan district of Karnataka. A heavy cargo truck entered the Ganpati immersion procession near Masle Hoshalli in Holenarsipura. In this accident on NH-373, 5 people died on the spot, while 3 people died in the hospital. So far 8 people have lost their lives in this accident. According to the police, 8 seriously injured patients are hospitalized.

According to the information, the Ganpati procession, which came out in the atmosphere of celebration and devotion, was hit by a high speed truck. Soon after the incident, the police reached the spot and admitted the injured to the nearest hospital, where doctors declared 3 people dead. The police have registered a case and started investigation and efforts are being made to find out the cause of the accident.

HD Kumaraswamy expressed condolences

Union Minister HD Kumaraswamy has expressed his condolences to this incident. He said, ‘I have been deeply shocked to hear the news of the horrific accident during the Ganpati immersion procession in Mosalehosahalli, Hasan taluka.’

He further said that many people lost their lives in this accident and more than 20 people have been seriously injured. It is very sad that during the Ganpati procession, the devotees lost their lives due to the grip of a truck.

‘State government should get the injured treatment’

Expressing condolences to the victims, HD Kumaraswamy said, ‘This is a very unfortunate incident. God should give peace to the departed souls and give the mournful families the strength to bear this sorrow. I pray for all the injured to get well soon. The state government should take steps to provide the right free treatment to the injured.
