Maharashtra: ‘I liked it very much, this is the same policy that ..’ Supriya Sule spoke on India’s stance in SCO Summit in China

An important meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) is going on in Tianjin, China, in which Prime Minister Narendra Modi has attended from India. This summit is taking place at a time when economic and diplomatic tension globally seems to be deepening.

Meanwhile, in India’s politics, its echo was heard and the opposition reacted sharply about the foreign policy of the government. Pune MP and NCP (SCP) leader Supriya Sule has described it as the old policy of Congress.

He said that the policy on which Prime Minister Modi used to criticize former Prime Ministers Jawaharlal Nehru and Indira Gandhi, today his government himself has caught the same direction. He says that the joint participation of Russia, China and India is not new, but it is a decades -old tradition.

He said, “You will remember then there was URRS, and Russia, China and India used to work together in a lot of policy and today the same is happening. The policy that Pt Jawaharlal Nehru and Indira Gandhi run the same government, this government is also running today.”

Meanwhile, PM Modi gave a clear message from the SCO platform that India maintains the policy of zero tolerance on terrorism. Supriya Sule welcomed Modi’s statement on terrorism and said that it is very important to tell India’s voice on this issue on the global stage. He said that this is not only India, but the problem of the whole world and it has been discussed again and again on many forums including the United Nations.

He said, “The policy of zero tolerance should be a global agenda against terrorism.” Sule admitted that it is a matter of pride for India to raise this subject from the SCO platform. He believes that all countries will have to unite against terrorism.
