Mansukh Mandaviya said India bid for the 2036 olympics continuous dialogue phase with the ioc

Sports Minister Mansukh Mandavia said in the Lok Sabha on Monday that there is a continuous talks with the International Olympic Committee (IOC) future host commission regarding India’s claim for hosting the Olympic Games to be held in 2036. In response to a question by Aam Aadmi Party MP Gurmeet Singh Meet Hair from Sangrur, Mandavia said that the entire bidding process is handling the Indian Olympic Association (IOA).

The Sports Minister said in the lower house, “The IOA has handed over a letter to the IOC. The bid is now in a constant conversation stage with the IOC’s future hosts. Hair asked whether the proposed scheme included hockey in Bhubaneswar, sailing in Bhopal, canoeing kayaking in Pune and organizing cricket in Mumbai.

Mandavia said, “It is the responsibility of the Indian Olympic Association (IOA) to host the Olympic Games in India and the International Olympic Committee (IOC) undergoes a detailed selection process and assigns the rights to host the Olympics.” India, however, has not named any city in its dialect but the Gujarat government is very interested in it. His Sports Minister Harsh Sanghvi was part of the Indian delegation who visited the IOC headquarters at Lausane to discuss the dialect last month.

The IOC is practical assessing the preparation of the contenders of hosting in the continuous conversation phase. IOC President Christie Coventry has currently “stopped” the host selection process. The Olympic gold -winning former swimmer Coventry said that during his first executive board meeting in June, there was a consensus among the members to re -evaluate the process. Earlier, the decision on India’s dialect was expected to be next year.

India is facing a tough challenge from countries like Qatar and Turki. Covantry said in July, “IOC members have supported reviewing and stopping the future host selection process and we will form a work group to consider it.”

India’s poor record in doping is an issue for IOC, which has asked the IOA to take corrective measures. After the IOC reprimanded, the IOA has formed a panel to deal with the problem of doping in Indian Games.
