A Pakistani man, Fahd, has been arrested by the police at Mount Banjara Colony in Banjara Hills, Hyderabad. This action was taken on the complaint of his wife Keirathi, who has accused Fahd of forcibly conversion, marriage and betrayal. Kirathi claimed that Fahd forced him to adopt Islam in 2016 and changed her name to Doha Fatima.
According to the police, Kirathi recently came to know that Fahd had an illicit relationship with another woman working in his own company. Kirathi informed the police, after which Fahd and the woman were arrested.
Family settled from Pakistan to India
Kirathi told that Fahd came to India from Pakistan in 1998 and settled in Hyderabad. He also alleged that Fahd regularly used to go to the Commissioner’s office for passport renewal, but hid it from them. Keerathi has now decided to divorce from Fahd and adopt Hinduism again.
Talking to ABP News, Kerathi said, ‘I was broken after my first divorce and was looking for a support for my daughter. Fahd took advantage of my situation and forced me to adopt Islam. I did not know that he and his family are Pakistani. Recently I came to know about their illicit relations, after which I took this step.
Case filed against Fahd
Inspector B.K. of Langerhouse Police Station Venkat Ramulu said, ‘A case has been registered against Fahd on the basis of Kirathi’s complaint. Investigation is going on and appropriate action will be taken after its completion.
This case has also taken political color. Describing it as ‘vote jihad’, BJP leader Madhavi Lata claimed that thousands of Rohingya families are illegally living in Hyderabad parliamentary constituency with documents like Aadhaar and Voter ID. He questioned how this is possible without political support.
