‘Modi government’s wavering attitude on China’, Asaduddin Owaisi raised questions on Chinese Foreign Minister’s visit
Asaduddin Owaisi, President of All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM), on Thursday (August 21, 2025), raised the question whether the situation on the Indo-China border has returned to the ‘status quo’ before the claws in the Galwan valley in 2020.
Owaisi alleged that the Modi government’s China policy has been ‘Dhulmul’, which has weakened India and has come into a bad condition after 11 years. He claimed in the post on ‘X’, ‘Has the situation on the border returned to the April 2020 status quo? If not, how will we get it now by announcing such a deep friendship with China?
‘Why does the government not agree to share the figures?’
Owaisi asked why China did not agree to share real -time figures with rivers watering hydroelectric dams along with India and why information on humanitarian grounds is limited to emergency situations only? He also questioned whether China has promised to avoid giving military assistance to Pakistan, as alleged during recent clashes.
Owaisi asked whether the central government did not insist on Beijing that if it (China) continues to harm India through Pakistan, both countries cannot be friends. The AIMIM president sought clarification as to why China has not officially agreed to supply DAP fertilizer, rare soil and boring machines to India.
Damage from territory to trade
He asked if China has promised to take steps on its behalf to reduce huge trade deficit? Owaisi asked, “Will we again further promote bilateral trade, which will increase the trade deficit further?” He alleged that India has suffered losses in many areas from territory to trade. Owaisi claimed that the government not having an answer reflects its failures.
