Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat said on Thursday (August 28, 2025) that the Sangh would not tell the government how to deal with US President Donald Trump and he would support his (government’s) decision. He also said that there should not be pressure on any friendship.

He made this comment while answering the question asked about the fees levied by International Trade and US President Donald Trump during the three -day lecture series.

RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat said, ‘International trade is necessary and must be, as it also maintains relations between countries. But it should not be under any kind of pressure; Friendship cannot flourish under pressure. He said, ‘The relationship between two countries should be completely free and should be based on mutual consent. In addition, our goal should be self -sufficient. Also, it should also be understood that the world runs on interdependence and work should be done accordingly.
