Motn Poll: What is India thinking about Trump’s tariff? Shocking revelations in the survey, this thing on China-Pakistan

India Today Group and C-Voter conducted the MOTN POLL (MOTN POLL) regarding the affairs of the country and abroad (tariffs). In this survey, people were worried about the high tariff imposed by America. About two-thirds i.e. 63 percent of the people appeared worried about the tariff on Donald Trump’s Indian exports, while only 27 percent said that they do not care.

People’s concerns about American tariff were clearly seen. In terms of relations with Washington, 61 percent of the people said that India should continue negotiating without compromising their interests. About 23 percent believed that the economy could face American tariffs, while only 9 percent says that New Delhi should accept American demands.

India’s opinion on America trade
54 percent of the people blamed America for India America trade talk failure, while 22 percent blamed India. 16 percent considered both sides equally responsible.

What said on America-Pakistan relations
America’s growing relations with Pakistan are another concern for India. 59 percent of the people said that if America increases support for Pakistan, then India should strengthen its relations with allies like Russia. 6 percent supported talks with Pakistan.

What Indians think about China
Regarding China, 52 percent of people believe that close trading and diplomatic relations with Beijing strengthens India’s global status, while 26.3 percent of the people are afraid that these relations will weaken safety interests.

The survey was conducted between July 1 to August 14, 2025, in which 54,788 people from all Lok Sabha constituencies were discussed. 1,52,038 additional interviews were also analyzed from C Voter’s regular tracker data. A total of 2 lakh 6 thousand 826 people were consulted for this report.
