Gautam Budh Nagar district administration is completely on alert mode in view of the ever increasing water level in the Yamuna river. On Tuesday, District Magistrate Medha Rupam conducted a terrestrial inspection of flood affected areas and relief camps. During this, he reached Sector-150 of Noida and met the affected people, reviewed their situation and reviewed the relief work.

During this, he gave instructions to the officials regarding eating and drinking and health of the people in Rahas camps. Also, proper arrangements have been made for animal fodder.

Dm Inspection and instructions of Medha Rupam

During the inspection, DM Medha Rupam gave strict instructions to the officials that all citizens and their pets from flood affected areas should be immediately transported to safe places. He emphasized on ensuring clean drinking water, food, medical facilities, toilets, hygiene, power supply and security in relief camps.

DM said that all basic facilities should be compulsory in refugees so that there is no inconvenience to the affected people.

Special attention to animal safety

The District Magistrate also gave priority to the safety of pet and other animals. He instructed that the animals be transferred to a safe green belt and provided enough fodder and drought space to them so that they can remain healthy.

Relief and progress of rescue operations

DM Medha Rupam said that on Tuesday, 40 affected people, including women and children, were evacuated to safe places. Also, pets have also been taken to safe sites. The administration is committed to provide basic facilities to all the affected people as per the instructions of the government.

Continuous monitoring will continue

The District Magistrate gave instructions to continuously monitor relief and rescue operations. He said that immediate action should be taken in any emergency so that the citizens do not have to face any problem. The goal of the administration is to ensure the safety and convenience of every affected person.

Officer present in inspection

During the inspection, ACP Noida, Tehsildar Sadar and other concerned officials were present. He reviewed his responsibilities in relief work and assured to follow DM’s instructions.
