Now the flights of Delhi people will not be left out! Uer-II will get rid of jam; PM Modi will give a gift of 11 thousand crores today
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate two important National Highway Project of about Rs 11,000 crore in the National Capital Region (NCR) on Sunday (August 17 2025), Delhi Khand and Dwarka Expressway of Urban Extension Road-2 (UR-2). This program of Prime Minister Modi will be held at 12:30 pm in Rohini, Delhi. During this, he will also address a public meeting.
The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) announced on Saturday (16 August 2025) that these two major highway projects would be formally inaugurated at a function in Rohini, North-West Delhi. The PMO said, “This initiative reflects Prime Minister Modi’s approach to the creation of a world -class infrastructure which ensures uninterrupted dynamics.”
Delhi-NCR people will get rid of jam
The purpose of these projects is to facilitate traffic in Delhi and surrounding areas, reduce travel time and provide relief to the capital from congestion. Along with this, it will give embodiment of Prime Minister Modi’s vision, under which world -class infrastructure in the country is to make the lives of citizens easy and to ensure uninterrupted dynamics. This 10.1 km long section has been constructed at a cost of about Rs 5,360 crore.
Where will it be connected?
This section will provide multi-model connectivity from Yashobhumi, Delhi Metro’s blue line and orange line, upcoming Bijwasan railway station and Dwarka cluster bus depot. It includes two packages. The first is 5.9 km from the Shiv Murthy interaction to the road under bridge of Dwarka Sector-21. In the second package, Dwarka Sector-21 is 4.2 km from RUB to Delhi-Haryana border, which will directly connect with Urban Extension Road-2.
UER-2 use 2 million tonnes of waste
It is worth noting that the 19 km long Haryana section of Dwarka Expressway was inaugurated by the Prime Minister on March 11, 2024. The entire 28 km long corridor was constructed at a cost of Rs 8,611 crore. Construction includes environmental initiatives, in which 2 million tonnes of waste received from Ghazipur landfill has been used in the development of UER-2, which has reduced the height of the garbage mountain to seven meters. Union Minister Nitin Gadkari emphasized this during the Delhi Assembly election campaign earlier this year.
What did NHAI official tell?
An NHAI official said that we are using inactive materials obtained from bio-mining of old waste in highway construction to promote sustainable infrastructure. The official further stated that these passive materials like soil, silt, stone and construction debris are stable and suitable for filling embankments, subgrade layering and service roads.
